About the book
Willing to Change
It was the 1980s, a time of change and new ideas. Yet while prosperity reached other parts of New York City, its ghettos and housing projects remained as violent as ever. Coming from a broken home, a young George Marrero made the streets his new family.
He became part of the neighborhood crew, a path that led him into more violence and eventually to prison. When all hope appeared to be lost, he was given a second chance through faith and education. This is the story of a man who was willing to change.
